After 23 years of selling, servicing, and maintaining feeding equipment, Jeff Moyer knows that a product promise means little until the machine proves itself on a real farm.

3D LiDAR Makes Installation Easier

Nimbo X uses 3D LiDAR and onboard cameras to map and navigate the barn. During installation, the building is scanned, and the required routes are created digitally.
A short magnetic path of approximately two to three metres is still required near the charging station. However, there is no need to install a long magnetic route along the feeding table. For Jeff and Landon, this makes installation more straightforward. For the farmer, it means less work on the barn floor and less disruption to daily operations.
Once programmed, Nimbo X leaves the charging station, follows its scheduled route, pushes feed within reach of the cows, and automatically returns to recharge after completing the task.
Jayson also noticed its operating speed.
“The biggest thing is that Nimbo X is a whole lot faster than any of the others I’ve seen,” he said.
Through the MooConnect app, farmers and service teams can use the onboard cameras to remotely monitor the Nimbo X. They can view live footage, check operation, and adjust supported route settings without always standing beside the machine.

Jayson also noted that quite a few people had already visited the farm to see the robotic feed pusher in operation.
